YOu can try itunes on a virtualboxed Windows... I'm pretty sure this is possible. Virtualbox has a USB 2.0 layer. But USE virtualbox, not the OSE version. The latter has not USB layer or something like that.
I actually use Virtualbox OSE, when I need to copy data via USB I do it in Linux then transfer to the XP virtual machine. I use Windows iTunes too. But yes, OSE version has no USB support :(

I went dual boot for a while, then one day Windows wouldn't boot, so I went with Linux only with Windows on Virtualbox...

@silversurfer: I have been pondering that, however, as an iPhone user I need iTunes natively to update firmware, etc. :(
